:tazz: Hello, guys. I spent all day fixing a Spybot problem with your help, many thanks, but I'm stuck again, and frustrated.

In order to prevent IE ickies, I tried to download Firefox. I have a dial-up modem, and the program seemed to download instantly. It's approx. 4.5 MB, and nothing that size ever downloads quickly for me, so I am very suspicious that it's not actually downloading at all. Nevertheless, it's execute icon (the thing that looks like a page) appeared on my desktop

I tried to open the "download, and got the following error msg: C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\Firefox 1.0.4.exe is not a valid Win34 application"

I tried to download again, this time into my Program Files, but got the exact same result: instantaneous "download" and "not a valid application" error msg.

Can anyone help explain & fix this? Thanks very much, in advance.

Try clearing out IE's Temporary Internet Files and Cookies folders then download a new Firefox setup file and try again.
