Hi, I hope you guys can help me with a little issue i have here. I have a Compaq 610 laptop that was given to me with a cracked screen. I hooked it up to an external monitor and everything works fine.
so i proceeded to buy a new screen for the laptop and i got one, hooked it up and all i get is a blank screen..well i thought it was the screen and returned it back to where i ordered it from. ordered another one from a totally different source and the same thing is happening, blank screen nothing else...and i keep hooking the laptop up to an external monitor with no problem.. i changed the video cable for a new one thinking it was a cable issue, and still getting the same response. any help would be really appreciated!

Did you try pressing F4, if I remember well on Compaq this is how you tell your labtop which display is your primary one (onbaord or external.
