I have 16 svchost.exe processes running at the moment. All from either SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICE, or LOCAL SERVICE. None of them taking up any CPU, with a few of them using up 123,456k of memory (SYSTEM). Is this normal? I know a few is ok but I have never seen 16 before.

Depends on the rest of the machine and other programs you have on the machine. As I write this I have 11 of the things running under Windows 7.
