Hey everyone,

So basically, I get a new laptop with Windows 7 for College and I stick everything I want to put on said laptop (ie. music, movies, etc...) in a external harddrive. So after porting everything (which is where I may have screwed up) it seems all my music folders have become "read only" and it being read only means it doesn't let me edit any tracks in iTunes which is what I need to do. Now when I try to untick "read only" and click apply....

"Access Denied
You will need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes
Click Continue to continue"

So I click continue... and nothing happens. Did I mention I am the administrator and I'm the only one who uses this laptop/there's only one account on it? I'd appreciate any help and if I left any crucial information out let me know

Thanks!

Hey Dwight,

Thanks for the response however I'm having trouble carrying out step 3 "Click on Edit button in Properties windows Click ok to confirm UAC elevation request" - I can't find that anywhere.

Thanks.

After playing around with it I eventually got it, or I at least glitched it based on the fact it's still read only but I can edit the files within. Regardless, thanks for the help.
