what i did earlier that worked was typed into the computer box
192.168.0.2:port
and that worked fine
but since ive tried to log on like i would imagine it would be like from outside with:
******.dyndns-ip.com:port
that didnt work so i found the main ip address
**.**.***.**:port
which still didnt work

ok, again, you're not going to be able to replicate the outside connection from inside.
the DynDNS address (or the primary public ip address) is only usable from outside. if you try to get to that from the inside it's not going to work. it's like trying to go out through the door you're walking in through (if that makes sense). the only way to actually test the outside connections is from outside of your lan

ah right i understand, its a 1 way street as such then. ok i will try that...ill get bak to u wen i no wot will happen
