I had the misfortune some time ago to get a virus. which led to me having to rebuild my laptop. Ever since the internal microphone has shown up as "not plugged in". How can i plug it in?

my laptop is a dell xps 32 bit operating system.

Many thanks

Did you try to download and install the drivers from dell?
http://support.dell....n&catid=&impid=
and if so how does it show up in your hardware profile?

When i attempt to download the audio driver from the dell website it reports that the page does not exist any longer, the microphone doesn't show up in device manager at all. A picture is attached. Please help!

Many Thanks

1 you need to install your bio coprocessor that might fix the problem if not it will speed up your laptop!
2 when you go to the dell website and go to the for home page! and then select support! and then go to drivers and download and follow the instructions on the screen that where you can download the drivers for your laptop
that should do the trick, if not let us know
