I have cable internet.
It's got the modem, connected to the router, connected to my desktop.
It used to work fine.
I installed a new operating system on my computer (The old one is still on it)
and the internet doesn't work.
I have XP professional.

I also have two laptops, and the wireless internet works fine? I'm actually using it now.
But not the desktop. Which I want to use most.
What the....
I've tried connecting the modem directly to the computer. Didn't work. The cable guys never gave me a CD.
What do I do? How do I connect it?
I've tried connection wizard and what not.

What is the make and model of the computer? Dell, HP, Compaq, etc.
Do you know if the network card is built on to the main board or is a addon card?
