Sweet Tech,

As per your direction, I'm starting this topic of our other Vista computer which has numerous issues showing. We did get the free check done at Office Max with unrelated issues being reported there. Below are the first of the issues. I ran the TFC and MBAM with no malware reported. Belkin nor Comcast was much help either. My partner, Sonny has been offline for 6 months. We're now ready to do this. We can turn on the computer

Connection - can't get the internet
Startup/Restart takes several times to come on...
Critical MS WIN Vista services need to be set to their default?
Startup Services need to be cleaned up??
The Distributed Link Tracking Client Service should be set to manual?
The internet connection sharing service needs to be disabled?
The MS iSCSI Initiator Service needs to be disabled
The netlogon service needs to be set to manual??
The problem reports & solutions control panel support service needs to be disabled??
The SNMP Trap service needs to be disabled??
The WIN HTTP web proxy auto discovery service needs to be disabled??
Windows.old folder can't be found?
Recycle bin size needs configuring?
Internet configuration settings need optimizing?
IE and Firefox need cache optimized (50 M & < 100 MB respectively)?
Win couldn't start the DNS client service on "local computer"; error 10107

Error 1717 SSTP

Network Diagnostics Policy Service needs to be turned on. Can't

DHCP client Service ...says to fix this

Network Adaptors - "new IP setting for "local area connection" - can't get

HP Print Diagnostic Utility - can't fix
