Malware on my pc, running xp pro. "Antivirus" programs keeps showing me false security threats. originally i attempted to use malwarebytes, but am unable to navigate using web browsers, as "antivirus" claims it is unsafe. i have attempted to download several different malware programs on a separate pc and use them on infected pc via cd-rom. Then "antivirus" denies the generic host svchost and the programs will not open, claiming that the program itself is infected, as well as svchost.

any suggestions?

Download F-Secure's rescue disk on your good PC. Burn the disk then boot the sick PC off it.

AVG also makes a rescue disk:

One of these will hopefully remove the malware.
