I just bought the new ipod touch, but just when I was about to set it up I learned that my itunes says it cannot connect to the internet.. anything else that involves internet is working except for itunes. I've tried everything it says on the apple site to do, but nothing has worked. It still says "Itunes could not connect to the itunes store. the network connection timed out" I ran the diagnostics test and this is what I got ;

Are you sure? According to the log that you posted, iTunes is NOT enabled in Windows Firewall.

Ended up finding the solution: iTunes was connecting to one of the store servers via the wrong socket.

To fix this:
•Open up a command line as an Administrator. On Win7, type 'cmd' into the search box on the start menu, right-click on cmd.exe, and select 'Run as Administrator'.
•Type: netsh winsock reset and press Enter
•Restart your computer.
