I have a server running windows 2000. I had a powere outage and when the system rebooted the server is hanging at "preparing network connections". what can I do to get it back online?

Howszit rjhorn?
Boot from a WinXP CD and once it has started, choose the repair choice, (press R). It will ask you which Windows to logon to, and then ask for the admin password, (normally just press the enter key). It should come up to a C: prompt. Type " chkdsk /r " and then press enter. It should repair the drive even though its Win 2000.
