Yahoo has encountered a problem and needs to close

Just wondering if anyone knows how to correct this.

Happens everytime I sign out of Yahoo, I click on either send to Microsoft or do not send, messenger disappears, requiring me to have to bring the messenger up again.
Thanks for any assistance...
