I'm looking into buying the Alienware M11X probably early January. I don't know anything about PC specs and the likes.. can anyone tell me how well it could run a game like Empire: Total War, Call of Duty Black Ops, Age of Empires?

Specs for model I'm getting:

Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual Core Processor ULV SU4100 (1.30GHz, 2MB, 800MHz)
Memory (RAM?): 2048MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x1024]
Graphics card: 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 335M

It's all standard, no extras or anything.

Decent enough looking laptop but bear in my mind laptops are not really designed for gaming, unless you more than double your proposed budget that is, the link in your OP doesn`t work by the way so I have included one that does, one tip I could suggest is google each games system requirements and cross reference them with the laptop specs;
