Please click on the link below to download this program:
http://www.geekstogo...tion=show&id=36

*Right-click on your desktop and go to New > Folder - name it HJT.
*Download "Find.zip" to the HJT folder that you made. Make sure to Extract All Files!
*Double Click "Find.bat" and let it scan the PC, takes only seconds!
*Look back in the Folder you downloaded to (HJT) and locate "Report.txt"
*Double Click "Report.txt" and Copy the entire contents of the log and paste it here. It's going to be a very short log.

The next thing you need to do is download a program for me from the link below.

Regisrty Search Tool. Scroll down and click on the pink arrow next to Registry Search tool, then click on the download icon to the right.
Unzip it and run it. If your antivirus inteferes you may have to disable script blocking in the antivirus. Put the following in the search box:

{b]stsheets[/b]

Post the results back in this thread, then we can commence the fix once i have certain information from that log.

Done. It says:

No instances of {b]stsheets[/b] found.

What is the next step? Thanks!

Hi djusto,

Here we go with your fix.

Please print out a copy of this to make it easier to follow as you will need to reboot your PC several times.

We will need to download a few tools that will help us in the removal of your problem.

Download about:buster by RubbeRDuckY HERE
Download CWShredder Here.
Download SpSeHjfix Here.
Download and install CleanUp! Here

Download a free 14 day trial of ewido from the link below. Install it and start it up. Follow the prompts to upgrade it, then close it down.

ewido

Set PC to show hidden files (click link if you do not know how)LINK

Save all of these files somewhere you will remember like to the Desktop.

Unzip SpSeHjfix to its own folder (ie c:\SpSeHjfix)

Run the CleanUp! installer. You dont need to do anything with it right now.

Update About:Buster
  • Unzip the contents of AboutBuster.zip and an AboutBuster directory will be created.
  • Navigate to the AboutBuster directory and double-click on AboutBuster.exe.
  • Click "OK" at the prompt with instructions.
  • Click "Update" and then "Check For Update" to begin the update process.
  • If any updates exist please download them by clicking "Download Update" then click the X to close that window.
  • Now close About:Buster
Update CWShredder
  • Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
  • Click Check For Update
  • Close CWShredder
Boot into Safe Mode:
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please run about:buster by RubbeRDuckY:
  • Click Start and then OK to allow AboutBuster to scan for Alternate Data Streams.
  • Click Yes to allow it to shutdown explorer.exe.
  • It will begin to check your computer for malicious files. If it asks if you would like to do a second pass, allow it to do so.
  • When it has finished, click Save Log. Make sure you save it as I may need a copy of it later.
  • Reboot your computer into safe mode again
Run about:buster again following the same instructions as above, this time without the restart at the end

Now run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

Now run SpSeHjfix. A log will be saved in the same folder that you put the exe into. Please post the results of that log in your next reply.

Warning Note: On a few occasions it has been reported that after using the SPSEHjfix you cannot open Internet Explorer. To fix this, go into Control Panel >Internet Options >Programs & press reset web settings, then you can set your home page to what you want on the general tab.

Make sure all programs and windows are closed. Run HiJackThis and place a check next to the following items, if found

Now run Ewido. click on the Scanner button, Select drives if you have more than one and then start. grab a cup of coffee, sandwiches, book as this may take some time. Once the first problem is detected ensure you tick the box for all (bottom left) and allow it to continue.

At the end of the scan, it may ask if you would like to delete anything found in archive or zipped files, OK that request, then click on save report. SAVE to the default location, it will then generate a text file. Copy that to post in this thread.

Reboot into normal mode.

1.) Download The Hoster Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program.

2.) Right-Click HERE and Save As to download DelDomains.inf to your desktop.
To use: RIGHT-CLICK DelDomains.inf on your desktop and select: Install (no need to restart)

Now rescan with HJT and post the log back, together with the other requested logs

Hi djusto,

Hopefully if you right click and delete the icons on desktop that will get rid of those.
However if you look in this folder C:\WINDOWS\system32....see if there are any files with .ico in there.

You still have webtracer and that leads me to believe that there is a sneeky file in drivers, but we will see this time if they come back.

Reboot into SAFE MODE , rescan with HJT and check the following:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.newgenlook.info/ad/ad0230/
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://rl.webtracer.cc/-/?mjsbd (obfuscated)
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
O1 - Hosts: 1159680172 auto.search.msn.com

Ensure no windows open and click Fix checked.

Then click on the "Config.." button on the bottom right of HijackThis, click on the Misc Tools button up at the top right, click on Delete a file on reboot under System Tools. Select this file in bold:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\param32.dll

repeat with these two files

C:\WINDOWS\system32\guninst.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\popup_bl.dll

Then reboot PC normally, rescan with HJT and post the log.

Thanks! It looks much better now, though looking at HJT log, maybe there is still some problem?

Download: StartDreck from: http://www.niksoft.a.../startdreck.htm
Extract the file into c:\startdreck.
Navigate to c:\startdreck and double-click on Startdreck.exe
When the program opens click on the Config button.
Then click on the unmark all button.
Put checkmarks in the following checkboxes:
Under Registry put a checkmark in the Run Keys checkbox.
Under System/Drivers put a check in the Running Proccess checkbox.
Press the OK button.
Press the Save button.

Type in the location you want to save the log to, or use the defaults which will save the log into the directory you are running the program from. If you choose the defaults the filename for the log will be StartDreck.log.

Open the StartDrek.log, copy and paste the results of that log here.

Please print these instructions out.

*First I need you to reboot in Safe Mode - you can do this by restarting your computer, then continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears, then use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, press enter.
*Be sure you're able to VIEW Hidden files *VERY IMPORTANT!*

*Now Navigate to this Folder using WINDOWS EXPLORER:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS

Locate this file in your DRIVERS folder:

parallew.sys

Right Click that File and Select "Rename" and Rename it to:

parallew.bak

Restart in Normal Mode.

Make sure you are disconnected from the Internet and that all programs and windows are closed. Run HiJackThis again. Put a checkmark next to these entries. Then click "FIX CHECKED"

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://rl.webtracer.cc/-/?mjsbd (obfuscated)
O1 - Hosts: 1159680172 auto.search.msn.com

Restart into safemode again. Locate these Files and DELETE THEM! You need to go straight into Windows Explorer to find it. Doing a search on your computer won't work.

C:\WINDOWS\stsheets.dat
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\parallew.bak

Reboot your computer and post a new HiJackThis log.
