After running a windows update of the following 2 items.
Windows Live Essentials 2011 (KB2434419)
Installation date: ‎11/‎19/‎2010 2:09 PM
Installation status: Successful

Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile for Windows 7 x64-based Systems (KB982670)
Installation date: ‎11/‎19/‎2010 2:12 PM
Installation status: Successful

My printers disappeared, I tried to add them back and ad could not because the print spooler was not running. I tried to manually start the print spooler and could not - the following error recieved

Windows could not start the Print Spooler Service on Local Computer
Error: 1608: The dependency service group failed to start

I tried to roll back my computer running Win 7 to an restore point I know the computer was functioning and still no luck.

Did anyone have a similar experience today with a Windows update? or can shed some light on how to restore the print spooler?

Thanks,
