Hey fellow geek's.

For the last little while I have been having constant BSOD. On average 1 an hour or occasionally more frequent, pretty much at random, idle, surfing, gaming... I initialy thought It was my video card dying(it was old and dated) I took a spare video card from my other PC. ATi Radeon 4670HD 1g.

After changing card, it didnt help the sittuation at all. I scanned the pc a few times, ran dskchk, all was fine with the hdd. Update all drivers, etc. Installed .NET framework 4.0 and it helped reduce the frequency of BSOD.

I resorted to doing a fresh format, that didn't seem to help either. I formated again and prevented windows update, still the same problem.(Genuine w7 x64 from Microsoft)

also worth mentioning it has started to get progresivly worse, now google chrome, IE8, FF keep crashing... Most application also cause a crash.



At this point I decided to post here asking for help before I throw this thing in the trash...

Little update. I was tinkering with setting in bios. I reverted to default, and am now able to run game, multiple videos/music etc with no crashes. However, the audio driver is off, which is making me think it has something to do with this. Setting in bios for Audio is "Auto", when I select enabled and log in, i start getting BSOD as soon as I launch any application. Does anybody have any suggestions?

edit 2__It seems I might be right and it is caused by audio issues. I disabled one of the drivers from device manager, and as soon as I selected Disable, BSOD hit me again. I think this is due to the mobo being configured to run monitor speakers, then over written by the ATI card to run HDMI sound. I disabled both from the BIOS and am now installing Realtek drivers for w7. Will update on how this goes.

edit 3--so far so good, audio is working fine right now. No bluescreens for the past 30minutes. Had google chrome crash a few times, I updated my shockwave flash, so hope that fixed it. Also had mass effect 2 crash. Will work on sorting that out later aswell.
