Hi guys,
I want to connect my Notebook to my TV via HDMI cable. I know what cables I need, but I'm wondering of the quality of cable will make any difference? Will a $10 HDMI perform any differently to a $100 HDMI cable? If they are both capable of 1080p, will they look and sound the same, am I just paying for warranty and branding and nice looking cable with the dearer one, or is it a simple case of you pay for what you get? Does oxygen free copper, gold plated plugs etc make any difference? I'm also getting a HDMI splitter so I can have 3 HDMI cables in my TV at once. Same question re Splitters. Any difference, brand etc? Thanks.

If something happens to the $10 cable it isn't a big deal to replace it. I personally have never seen or heard any difference with the more expensive. Of course, the debate about what you can and cannot see.
