connections drops

hello, the problem I'm having for the last 2 weeks is that after a few hours, sometimes minutes, my dsl connections drops. sometimes it comes back quickly and other times I have to either reset my modem like every 20 minutes or just turn everything off for an hour. I don't know if it's a line, pc or modem problem. I use a motorola netopia smartmodem 2210-02 and its about 3 years old. any suggestions are appreciated..............
