Here I can suggest you the link as http://www.completep...m_missing.html. You can go through this and find the solution to repair \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SOFTWARE.

Hopefully, you will get easily steps to follow that will fix this error.

We already fixed that, mate. His problem is far bigger than just a missing Registry hive.

Too bad you don't have the right XP CD. You could've done a Repair Install with it to fix the problem.

Anyhow, my next suggestion is to post a new thread about it in the Malware Removal forum as the malware experts will be able to help you more effectively with this even if it's not a malware problem.
