I recently installed the most recent version of Skype onto my daughters new netbook - Asus Eee PC with Win 7 starter version installed. The program connects to the internet, but the connection is too poor to actually function. I am connecting to the internet via a wireless router - Linksys befw11s4 v.2. I made sure that there is an allowance for Skype through the firewall. Not sure if this is a problem with the router being old?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What type of connection speeds are you getting?

Run a speed test here and post back with the results.
