A friend let an IT guy at her workplace remove a fake antivirus software from her computer. Now she is unable to connect to a secured internet connection. The machine is running windows xp service pack 3. Oddly it convects to an unsecured connection (though with a very weak signal). I have used the Netsh command to reset winsock and have also tried wisock fix and still am having the same issue.

any help would be greatly appreciated
