A few weeks ago my computer was acting funky and I was visiting my brother-in-law, resident techie, and he loaded spybot and ad aware onto my computer. We found two trojans and cleaned them off the system. Everything was fine until last week. Now I cannot run mcafee or ad aware. I can run spybot but all it finds are tracking cookies. Whenever I use Firefox, all links are opened in a new browser.
I am in the middle of writing my thesis so this computer is essential. My operating system is Windows XP
