Hey everyone, just a quick noob question here.
I'm looking at two processors but a bit unsure of which to go for.

Its the i5 380 3.6ghz and the i7 870 2.93ghz.

Now I understand that obviously the i7 is the range up so has more features and capabilities, however, I am thrown by the 2.93 vrs the 3.6ghz. It seems a big difference. I suppose my main question is, which is more powerful. Will i get a better performance from one over the other?

Thanks

The Ghz figure means nothing. Ignore it. They're trotted out in system specifications endlessly but they ceased to be important nine years ago. A higher Ghz figure does not a faster computer make.

What is this i5 380 of which you speak? There appears to be no such model.
