Gotta a ton of crashes lately but can't seem to see a pattern. I've disabled plugin's to try and isolate one that's bugged but can't seem to find it. Also, when i visit about:crashes I can't look at the details of the crash, it can't seem to find it archived. Heres the latest error message.

Hi Lance, it might help a lot, to post your system specs XP, Vista, Windows 7, and what kind of AV and FW you have on it. May be something is conflicting? Just a thought. Also, it will help the helpers help you with more information than just the error, OK? :D

I am sure with that info, someone here will get ya sorted!

By the way, I have the same version 3.6.13. ;)

Ok.

I'm using a g60 series ASUS laptop. It's a i5 2.73 processor, 4 gig ram, nVIDIA Geforce GTS 360M video card, and I'm running 64 bit windows 7. I've got Avast and winpatrol going for antivirus, and I don't use a software Firewall.

If there is anything else that would be of benefit just let me know.

Bit of an update. I've also noticed that if my computer has a fresh restart it's much longer until a crash occurs. Once a crash has occurred and Firefox is restarted, Firefox is often laggy and slow whenever you ask it to do anything. It also much more likely to crash it seems. If you restart the whole computer it's like whatever the issue is resets and you start all over, the crash is generally longer but does still inevitably occur.

HI lance, thanks for the update and info, now we will have to wait for someone more knowledgeable to help you. May I ask, why you don't use a FW? :D

Sounds good. As for the firewall, laziness and lack of knowledge I guess. I tried komodo a few years back and found it a bit annoying at the time. I thought I'd probably be ok behind the windows one and a router. I do know that the malware section suggests one. I'm guilty of ignoring it. I do try and keep up with the recommendations from this site (checking once every month of so) but that's the only one I have continually ignored. Like I said, mostly because I didn't really understand komodo and it interfered with my day to day activity. I assume if I understood it more it probably wouldn't interfere.

Hi Lance, you really should have a FW. OK, komodo may just not have been for you. Try another. I like PC Tools FW myself, but that is just me. Take a good look, and I am sure someone with more knowledge on your system will be along. A good FW is a very valuable tol

First, tho, I think your FF needs to be addressed. You do have AVAST, and that may very well have a lot to do with your FF crashing. I know of another gal who had AVAST on hers, and it totally crashed her FF. Hope yours isn't that bad. :D

PS: Is it the latest update? 5.899 I think?

Try Firefox Safe Mode first and see if it solves the problem.

Try Reinstalling Firefox or download the Latest Version.
If This Does Not Seem To help , Then you need to get a new Internet Browser , I will provide some good browsers here:
(Click Any Browser Name To download)
Google Chrome
Opera
Safari

Ok, thanks for the tips guys. I've checked and I am running the most current version of Firefox. I like firefox so I would like to try and fix this browser instead of just getting a new one. I've now restarted my computer and gone into firefox safe mode. I'll report back with results in a couple hours or maybe even a day to see if I get any crashes.

Thanks again, and I'll report back soon.

Hi Lance, be sure to keep us posted. If you can get it up and running in Safe Mode, you can always try to add one add on at a time, and see if one of the add-ons are causing your problems. It has happened.

Just be sure to keep us posted :D

Ok, so after 24 hours or so it seems to work fine and not crash in safe mode. Does that mean the only thing that could be going on is an error with an addon or it could be something else as well? I will disable them all and add them back one at a time. Please let me know if there is any better way to do this.

Thanks again

It must be the addons that are causing problems. You should also look into the plugins (Flash, Silverlight...).
