Its perfectly ok to ask. This is what the norton help says:

If you haven't registered your product yet, you will be prompted to register and save your Product Key when you click Norton Account in the product's main window.

To register your product and save your Product Key

1. In your product's main window, click Norton Account.
2. In the Save your Product Key page, select the product that you want to register.
3. Click Next.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to register your product and save your Product Key.

Laptop running Ok?

I uninstalled Norton and Installed the Microsoft security and tried to run Combofix (with Microsoft security disabled) and it still would not run.

Laptop is still slow, but the spam has disappeared.

Download TFC to your desktop

• Open the file and close any other windows.
• It will close all programs itself when run, make sure to let it run uninterrupted.
• Click the Start button to begin the process. The program should not take long to finish its job
• Once its finished it should reboot your machine, if not, do this yourself to ensure a complete CLEAN

THEN

• Download Flush Flash from Here and follow the easy to use instructions on the same page

NEXT

Defrag the harddrive

• Download and run Puran Disc Defragmenter
• For the first Puran run select boot defrag and check disc

Some improvement in speed Firefox/IE still take a while to load up, screen froze for a few seconds when i opened the Start>Programs menu.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

The good news is the machine is clean now. What I believe remains are some bolts and nuts that needs tightening.

Reset Internet Explorer.

Download the microsoft fix-it to reset Internet Explorer automatically.

Uninstall/Reinstall Firefox

First, back-up all of your bookmarks. You can use guide here .

Download the free Revo Uninstaller here. and install the program.
Start revo uninstaller then select Firefox and start the "Uninstall" command. Choose complete uninstall.
After the scanning completes you will see the leftover Registry items, select all then confirm delete.

Download a fresh Mozilla Firefox and install.
