Photo Screen Saver will not start

I am just using the default screen saver and photos that i have saved to my C: drive from a disk.
The photos used to work for the longest time and all of a sudden stopped working.
This is on my wondows Vista SP2 system.
When my screen saver stats i keep getting this error message:

title - Screen Saver: PhotoScreensaver.scr - Unable to Locate component
body - The application has failed to start becasue DIFXAPI.dll was not found. Re-Installing the app ma fix this problem.
