Hi, a friend's outlook express has suddenly decided to ask for a password when getting mail but she has forgotten her password. Can anyone recomend a free password revealing application. I've searched onine and so many of them look suspicious. i.e potentially hiding malware.

Thanks

Contact the provider of the email. No software will help you if your friend has forgotten her email password.

Hello,

As Neil Jones has said the best thing to do is to contact the provider of the e-mail account and have them assist you in recovering the password. This is the only solution we are prepared to offer you.

As per our Terms of Use:

Due to the nature of online help we are not able to verify ownership, and will not be able to help bypass or recover any user passwords, cd keys, license codes, serial numbers, etc.

While such requests are often legitimate, and come from users who experience exactly the kind of problem that you post, we have no way of determining legitimate vs. not legitimate, therefore we do not respond to such requests.
