prevent flash aps from locking window resizing

this is somthing that drives me bat @#$% insane. those stupid little flash popups and shockwave apps that run in windows that cannot be resized. these often times take up a uncomfortable large volume of my screen and are far larger than they need to be. is there a plugin or some other utility or setting that prevents web apps from locking windows so you can always resize them. primarially i am trying to use this for my online studies so i can have notes and the web app up at the same time.
