Linked Cells in Excel not updating

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with linking cells in Excel. I have linked the cell of a worksheet to update with the cell of another with this following formula:
='[Chautaqa County_SUC Fredonia New Residence Hall.xlsx]Sheet1'!$H$5

When I update the cell in the pathed cell my master worksheet updates on my computer but for other machines this does not happen. Would somebody be able to explain what is happening and how I can fix this?
