I took a video from a camera and transferred it to my computer. It was a "MOV." file type. So I downloaded WinFF to convert it to a "WMV." file type, because I wanted to edit it on Windows Movie Maker.

After I edited it and tried to "save the movie file" to my computer so that I could upload it to youtube, this message came up:

"Cannot Complete the Save Movie Wizard Your movie was not saved successfully.

Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again."
(I've never had this problem before with other vids. But this is the first time I've used video footage from a camera.)

Can someone help me to interpret that message? How can I fix this???

I would 1st question...
Where are you saving it?
Is it another partition on the main drive?
What drive location?
How much free space do you have in that location?
Do you have access to the location? In other words...can you view other data in that area?

I was trying to save it to "My Videos" in "My Documents."

What do you mean by "another partition on the main drive"?

Drive? C? I don't know.

I don't know how to check how much free space I have.

To get the size of the drive and free space do the following....

Go to start
Go to my computer
Right click on C drive and go down to properties.
Click on properties.
The next screen up will give you used space and free space.

Don't worry about partition because if you are saving in My documents then that is normally on C drive.

It said that used space is 45.3 GB.

And free space is 97.8 GB.

What should I do?

Is there any way I can convert the already edited video? Or save what I've already edited?

Is the new version of WMM for Windows 7 or Vista? Cause I just have Windows XP.

Editing shouldn't affect the ability to convert it.

Unfortuantely, Live Essentials 2011 does not work with XP:

My problem is not with the MOV. file type. (I was able to put the video in Windows Movie Maker.)

MSWMM is a project, not a video file. My question is: how do I deal with the error message, after I tried to save the MSWMM project as a movie file (export). It's not letting me export because of the above error message.

First of all anyone using Windows Movie Maker it really sucks and its a pain in the [bleep]. It's slow overall when rendering videos its also slow. I would suggest getting Sony Vegas its real easy to use and has way more features than Windows Movie Maker just a tip!
