Hello,

I've encountered a problem with the mouse functionality on my Windows 7 system. It appears to have begun after installing a Java update but a system restore to a previous configuration did not solve the problems. I have also rebooted using Safe Mode and, even there, the same mouse problems exist.

Most evident is the lack of functionality for the left button. I can use the right button but it is very cumbersome. I tried reversing the button settings but, alas, that also did not solve my problems. I am using a Logitech USB "Couch Pocket" mouse.

When I do use the right button to activate a program, the typical right-button dialogue panel appears ("Open" etc.).

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First try another mouse so we can be certain sure it's an OS or computer problem & not the mouse.
