Hi, it's finally time I updated my PC, if only for The Witcher 2 and the new Deus Ex game.

I'm pretty much building the PCGamer Rig The current PCGamer Rig, but I needed some advice on whether my components will all be compatable.

PSU-OCZ Stealth 700w

1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

Asus P7P55D-E Mobo (A little concerned it's kind of small.)

Core i5 760 processor (Should be the same as the PCGamer Rig.)

The GTX460 Hawk (Reviewed in the last issue of PCGamer.)

2x2GB RAM Corsair (Deal seemed too good to be true, one reviewer said it didn't work at the speed advertised, which is why I'm asking here.)

Viewsonic Monitor (The exact model in PCGamer wasn't available, or couldn't be found at a reasonable price. Anyone know if this would be an acceptable substitute?)

So yeah, that's most of it. Still looking for a full size case like the PCGamer rig if anyone can help. All I could find was the same style but in "midi" form.

edit: Should have mentioned I'm going to be updating to Windows 7 as well. The HDD says "windows vista compatable" but nothing to do with Win7, assuming that's not an issue?

Hi Akimb0.

Sorry for the delay, looks like you nearly slipped through the net.

The build you are contemplating using Intel socket 1156 will, in the near future, have a limited upgrade path. I recommend you do a little more research about the Intel socket 1155 and consider using that instead. I know that the budget bottom line is often a limiting factor but waiting a month and saving gives you a little more to spend and prices often drop.

Your selected Mobo. If you were thinking of 2 video cards later on? Please read this article, > http://www.hardware-...rmance-problem/

Some information on P8P67 Mobos and Sandy Bridge.
