I just bought a P41-C31 motherboard. I've never installed a new board before and am wondering if it matters what way the plugs face? The manual that came with it doesn't help much.

I'm guessing I'll need to use both JFP1 & 2, 2 for the speaker and 1 for other stuff.

Thanks in advance :D

It matters on some things and not others. It will not matter for the speaker or for any of the switches. But LEDs need to be connected with the right polarity.

There is no standard labeling so unfortunately the wires from the case's front panel may not be labeled the same as the motherboard. For example, the motherboard might say RESET+ while the wire says RST+. Even the manual may say say something different yet. But if careful, it typically is not hard to sort out.

Thank you.

I've sorted all the wires out except the power LED 2 wire plug, 1 green & 1 white. But, it is a 3 prong plug (middle empty) and the board is setup to accept a 2 prong plug. What should I do about that?
