Can't connect to game servers

So i recently switched from dsl to cable and thats where the problem started. My internet works fine but i can't connect to any games for some reason but my little brother can connect to games on the browser such as runescape. I tried resetting ip/tcp and winsock but that didnt work. also tried turning off firewall but that wasnt the problem. Help please!!
