Installation instructions for installing an optical drive in a Dell Op

I have received a Dell Optiplex 330 that came without an optical drive. The connectors are all SATA. The physical installation is a piece of cake. Getting the BIOS to recognize the DVD writer is another matter.
Dell, of course couldn't give me an answer that didn't cost $60. Do I need a special drive? I could use
some help here. Thank you.

Have you tried checking for drivers for the optical drive? It's probably not a Plug'n'Play Device, so the best option would be to check the manufacturer's website. Hope this helps! Posted Image

I’ve had a look at the manual for the BIOS is the setting for the SATA /ON or disabled
