I have had an issue with a brand new HP 8440p laptop for the last week. The system will not boot. When it does boot, it boots in Safe Mode and then I get a blue screen that disappears before I am able to read what is on it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be?

Thanks,

JK

First thing to do is run a system restore on it to return to factory settings. This will wipe the machine.

If the issue persists take it back to where you bought it from as it may have a hardware issue.

That would be a "Factory Restore". ("System Restore" is a Windows feature).
