I recently clean installed Win 98 from Win XP Home on my Secondary PC. Install went fine, but am encountering a big problem. I have no drivers whatsoever for my hardware and so I have no sound, my Monitor is in a low resolution with 16 colours and cannot be altered, and it does not recognise my USB Disk/MP3 player when I insert it. Even though I have tried installing drivers for it it still fails to show up in My Computer. This is probably the biggest problem as I need the player to transfer the larger drivers which cannot be done with a floppy disk. Any help would be much appreciated, as to how to get the MP3 Player working.

Hello and welcome to Geeks to Go! :tazz: I'm kool808 and I will be helping you today.

Please download and install Everest Home Edition, found on my signature below. Run a hardware report then post a HTML attachment.

We will then suggest where to download your drivers.
