My dell inspiron 8600 laptop will not boot. Intalled and ran Windows Registry Repair Pro. Message on screen is "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \Windows\system32\config\system. You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup cd-rom. Select r at first screen to start repair."
I am able to successfully enter the repair console but am having difficulty knowing where to go from there. Guess I don't know as much as I thought, suddenly feeling very lost. :tazz:
