To all:

Thank you in advance for any advice you might offer.

This afternoon I installed a MSFT Critical Update (How come these type of things always happen when you install the critical update). I rebooted my machine when I did this. When I turned the computer back on it immediately started to act up. For example, intermittently the sound will "bounce" up to 100% with a siren going off and unless I open the sound control the up/down sound button won't work. Additionally, I noticed my CPU usage was at 100%. Obviously there was a virus/trojan waiting to load itself on my machine when I rebooted.

I have reversed the "critical update", but I'm still having the issues. I've also run Kaspersky (up to date version) to no avail also. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
