Can't install avg 11 on windows xp prof sp3

I have a friend of mine that has windows xp professional version 2002 sp3 and when I run the installation it shows me that it reaches a point where it extracts files in the pc but then it disapears. I have no error message, no nothing.

I have thought of windows firewall and will try disabling it next time but is there anyghing else I should be dealing with in order to install the antivirus?
