Does anyone know of a blocker that you can put on your email account to prevent unwanted emails. Our email address has been compromised and now we get lots of junk emails from pharmacies, getting colllege degrees, etc. You can tell they are junk or even emails containing virus. They are people you have never heard of.

If the email provider has controls, se those.
Otherwise you will need to use appropriate solutions in your email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird etc) to filter the mails out.

I use Thunderbird. I have a Junk option that I select when I get the emails but is there anyway to prevent them from coming in?

Not unless you filter them out using the web controls.
Or changing email address.
