Good day to all! My friend ask me if he can play crysis 2 with his system. I told him that he needs a good card to play it. But have less info regarding the game.

Here are the specs

Amd Athlon 64 X2 4800+
Msi K9N NEOF v3
2GB DDR2 800
500Gb SATA HDD
Nvidia Geforce 85ooGT 512mb
Hec Raptor 500 watts

we have 2 choices, Palit GeForce 9800GT 1GB DDR3 256bit or Palit GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 256bit

do you guys know the equivalent of this card to ATI? tnx in advance.

I don't follow hardware as close as I used to, but I think an ATI HD 5770 would be pretty close. Since it's a modern card would offer slightly better performance in most games.

thanks! for the reply sir. It also came across me, but I've read in other forums that this motherboard K9N Neo F v3 does not support the ATI card.I mean I can install the card but some advance features will not be available, is this true sir? I had doubts about GTS250 because it doesn't support dx11 unlike 5770, correct me if I'm wrong please.tnx again!

For the record I'd like to say that we already resolve this issue. After many research, we finally made our decision regarding on what graphics card to purchase. 5770 is over budget for us, but we manage to obtain a Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 1GB DDR5 and added 2 GB of memory. As of now we are currently playing the game Crysis 2, and so far no issues encountered. And also the card fits perfectly on an ordinary case.

This is now our specs:

Amd Athlon 64 X2 4800+
Msi K9N NEOF v3
4GB DDR2 800 (2x2GB)
500Gb SATA HDD
320 IDE HDD
Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 1GB DDR5
Hec Raptor 500 watts

We are using it on a Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit only. We'll be purchasing 64-bit as soon as a budget is availablle. TNX GTG and more Power. peace!
