So I was on some movie site the other day and I regularly try and steer clear of popups and suspicious clicks. I must have clicked one on accident and next thing I know blam all my files dissapear off my desktop and in my folders. Were talking all my lifes work. Everything except my mp3s in itunes dissapeared. I tried to do a system restore, the icons appeared for a few seconds after a restart but then vanish off the desktop. I figure there just hidden from some trojan. Here's my hijack this log below i took in safe mode with networking. I also have avg, malwarebytes,spybot,windows security essentials,Pandora recovery,and wise registry cleaner. Not sure what to do though, and I can't work until my graphic design files are back which sucks. Thanks for any help, appreciate it! -Joe [email protected]

Download unhide.exe & save it to your windows folder:

Right click on unhide.exe and select Run as administrator (In case you have Vista or Win7)
Reboot

This will unhide folders/files that were set to be hidden by the infection you had.

I feel pretty dumb hahaha, After all the efforts I went through these past couple days. You are a magical computer wizard from the land of badassery!!! You just saved me like 3 years of hard work! Over 80 gigs of files reappeared. I can't believe it was that easy. Now my computer isn't even acting weird at all or crashing from all it's STD's, which boggles my mind. Thank you so much! Next time I know where to go anytime i have an issue with my computer, i appreciate your help. Now I'm going to back up my files like i should have before. Cheers!-Joe
