Internet Explorer 8 opening blank tabs

Not sure if this is the right forum or not

My internet explorer has started to open blank tabs spardically, when I try to opena new tab or when a page opensin a new window.

These can't be closed unless I go into task manager.

Also sometimes when a link trys to open a new window it fails and disappears.

Any ideas on what is wrong?

try uninstalling IE 8 in the add /remove programs section in the control panel...it will just roll back to 7...
the other option is to use firefox or chrome
