I haven't had an issue with Windows Vista (32-bit) since I've had this laptop (going on 5 years..ish). Anyway, went to plug my phone in (HTC Thunderbolt) and it brought up the message "Installing new drivers." So I let it sit and do it's thing. After a bit, BOOM! BSOD :) Restart computer. Try it again. Got to the point where I could direct it to where I have the USB drivers extracted. BSOD!! I've run my malware program (MalwareBytes), anti-virus (Avira), CCleaner. I still get the BSOD at some point when I go to install the USB drivers. Even tried 2 different ports. Is there a scan I can run to figure out if perhaps I do have a virus of some sort? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The process dvd43llh.sys belongs to the software DVD For Free by RIF.

Do you have this program installed and is it something you installed?
If so you might try uninstalling it to see if the issue will resolve.
