how do i uninstall avg software

I am trying to uninstall avg free 2011.i used the uninstall program but i still have the short cut that still opens and the program is still in add or remove but when i click on remove it does nothing. Ive tried to install another updated version of avg free it starts extracting then it disappears.I have Windows XP operating system.

Hello!

Have you attempted to download and run the AVG Removal tool?

If not, lets try doing that first;

AVG Removal Tool

Download and save AVG Removal Tool to your desktop

Run it to remove AVG. After this, please restart your computer.
