There is a problem with a win2k machine. It won't allow me to execute anything. It may be a virus then it may not. I don't have a disk and I would like to get to the recovery console is there any utility on geeks to go that will provide me with the recovery console?

Thanks
ps I went through some steps to uncover any viruses a month ago with the help of geekU student but all attempts failed. The machine will not execute any executable files from the desktop or on a flash drive. It won't allow me to even open the task manager. I get responses that say along the lines "access denied not enough previleges".... even when I rightclick c drive.

If any have any solutions please help

Thanks

Hi el_jack
Try logging in as administrator (you must have the password) see below for "how to"
Log off, or reboot the computer, at the login screen in 'Username' type "Administrator"
type the Administrator password in 'Password' and this should grant you full privileges.
