Hi christmasirwin
Have you tried "last known good configuration" see below;
If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.
If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.
On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER.
If your computer has more than one operating system installed, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system that you want to start by using Last Known Good Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

Try performing a system repair using the install DVD or even by download the "windows repair DVD" Free see here
Next time you try to install SP2 disable your antuvirus software before doing so, also why didn't you install SP2 from windows updater?
anyway while it is installing make sure no other programs are running until the installation is complete.
It is also important that you have all the important updates installed from the windows updater too, there have been a lot of security fixes and updates for such things as failing updates too...

The HDD may have issues or perhaps the OS is damaged beyond repair, possible
solutions are 1st retrieve any important data on the HDD using Puppy Linux;
http://www.geekstogo...over-your-data/ you can then try formatting and reinstalling
the OS, if this does not work then you are looking at replacing the HDD.
Another option for copying your data is to remove the HDD and place it into
an external USB HDD enclosure and copy the data to another computers HDD.
