Hello,

I seem to be infected with the same virus I saw described in another recent forum post: "XP Anti Spyware 2011." I can no longer access the internet on that computer, so I am using a different computer. I plan on using a jumpdrive to transfer files, etc., until the internet is available on the infected machine.

Please help!

Thanks,

justin (carthief)

I should add that as soon as my system starts, a folder in my program files called Apoint runs a program called Apntex.exe.

I am assaulted by phony user alerts saying malware this, trojan that, sign up for removal (which I'm sure is some crappy credit card scheme or something).

I'm unable to use the internet on the infected computer; every time I open a browser it says something like "XP Anti Spyware blocked a dangerous site - click here to sign up for removal."

Please help!

I'll be sitting here ready, as soon as someone replies... =(!
