Need help removing virus.

Doesn't sound like it went it to the correct mode when you double clicked on the (Default). You can try just right click and Modify. That should bring up a little window which should let you edit the data.


If not:

Can you tell me the full path to each item you found in the registry?

example:

HKey_Current_User\Software\CLASSES\batfile\shell\open\command

Usually you can right click on the last key in the chain and Copy Key Name then go to notepad or a reply and Ctrl + v.

Everything came back. The virus is changing names though. It started off as kit.exe, then hic.exe, now it's vig.exe
